Awad Bin Hasoum Al Darmaki is an Emirati poet, lecturer, and writer. He has a distinguished literary history. He is considered one of the great poets in the United Arab Emirates and in the Arab Gulf region. He is specialized in the fields of leadership, strategic planning, change management, institutional transformation management, and institutional competitiveness. He is the presenter of programs dealing with Islamic history and the civilizational contributions of Muslims. He is also the writer of a weekly article in the Emirati newspaper, Al-Bayan.
He held several positions, including Deputy Director of the City Planning Department in Al Ain City, General Director of Al Ain Municipality, and as an Executive Director of Al Ain Sports Club.
He has published several literary books, including San Diego Memories, Do not Blame him, Dinosaurs do not Know How to Drive a Cadillac, and The Oak.
He holds a master's degree in Executive Leadership from the University of San Diego in the United States of America, and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from UAE University.
