AAU Law Students on a Visit to Al Ain Police

AAU Law Students on a Visit to Al Ain PoliceThe Section of Forensic Evidence at Al Ain received students from the College of Law at Al Ain University. The visit aimed at familiarizing the students with the vital role the Section of Forensic Evidence plays in reinforcing community safety as well as its duties in crime detection and identifying criminals.

Lt. Colonel Khamis Rashid Al Kaabi, Head of the Section, welcomed the students who were then accompanied on a tour to the various branches including the Chemical Analysis, Bio-criminal, Fires, Firearms and Equipment, Forensic Photography, Finger print, Fraud and Forgery and Support Services Branches.

During the tour, the students were introduced to the different tasks of each branch and how evidence is received and processed in addition to how evidence and fingerprints are collected from crime scene. They were also able to see the advanced equipment and apparatuses used at the Section of Forensic Evidence, enabling the efficiency of solving crimes and disclosing the culprits.

AAU Law Students on a Visit to Al Ain PoliceDr. Mustafa Qandil, Associate Professor at the College of Law, said that AAU is keen on building bridges of communication with public and private organizations for the purposes of conducting field trips that would enhance the students’ knowledge and capabilities.

Lt. Colonel Khamis Rashid Al Kaabi expressed his admiration of AAU for the effort to connect with the Police Headquarters to help improve the students’ capabilities and informing them on the latest developments in Police Sciences; hence, preparing qualified, competent graduates who are ready to meet the requirements of the future job market.
