A delegation of AAU faculty members took part in the event and seminars organized at the Family Development Foundation to mark the International Day of Older Persons that falls on the first of October every year. This year the event was entitled “Towards Sustainable Social Services for the Elderly” and was held under the auspices of H. H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.
The organizers and participants in the discussion panels expressed their support and admiration of sustainable social services presented to the elderly and their gratitude to H. H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the mother of the whole nation, for her kind patronage of the event highlighting the impact it will have on families both locally and regionally.
