The AAU Deanship of Student Affairs at Abu Dhabi campus took part in the UAE 42nd National Day celebrations held by Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs (ZHO) at the Abu Dhabi Center for Autism under the slogan “Spirit of the Union” in the attendance of Sheikh Khalifah bin Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan.
During the event, students with autism had the opportunity to express their joy on the national occasion through their paintings. AAU’s participation is in support of its vision to be involved in community engagement and from its commitment to share children with special needs their activities.
In a similar context, AAU participated in the celebrations held by the students of Abu Dhabi schools to mark the UAE 42nd National Day. The festive event, organized by Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC), took place at Al Forsan Resort Sports Club.
Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, ADEC Director General, as well as several educational and academic officials attended the event which included an open day for all private and public schools, a musical performance, folklore dances, traditional songs, sports activities and an art exhibition in which well-known artists participated alongside students.
