The Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Ain University organized an orientation week for new students joining for the academic year 2013/2014 at the AAU Abu Dhabi campus. The Deputy Dean of Student Affairs, the Deputy Deans, and a number of faculty members in the Colleges of Business Administration and Law in addition to the Director of the English Language Center, the Continuing Education Center Manager and the Librarian provided academic guidance to the large number of new students attending the meetings.
The meeting began with introducing new students to the nature of university life and the programs offered at AAU. The session also highlighted the major activities and services dedicated to removing the obstacles the students may face during their course of study and give them a head start based on knowledge of issues relevant to their studying hence contributing to the students maintaining an ideal academic status.
The orientation meetings are held every academic year and aim to clarify all academically related issues to new students such as GPA, academic warnings, honor’s lists, and online registration to help students attain a distinguished academic achievement.
