Al Ain University received members of the accreditation committee of the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The delegation included Mrs. Suha Abdelrahman, Director of Universities Recognition and Certificate Equivalency; Prof. Adnan Smadi, Dean of Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology at Yarmouk University; and Prof. Ahmad Odeh, Faculty member at the Faculty of Education at Yarmouk University. The visit aimed to strengthen ties between AAU and the institutions of Higher Education in Jordan. The delegation was received by Dr. Noor Aldeen Atatreh, AAU Chancellor, and Prof. Ghaleb El Refae, AAU President in addition to Deans and Deputy Deans.
Dr. Noor Aldeen Atatreh welcomed the guests and offered a detailed background on AAU, its programs and services. Atatreh also briefed the delegation on the status of Jordanian students studying at AAU as well as Jordanian faculty working at AAU as they make up the largest percentage of Arab nationalities at AAU. The delegation toured the campus, and viewed the facilities, the modern equipment, and labs, the gym and other on-campus services.
