Al Ain University is now an official IELTS test venue in AL Ain

Al Ain University is now an official IELTS test venue in AL AinTaking its mission of development and modernization forward, Al Ain University agreed recently with the British Council, UAE to make the university an accredited place to hold the IELTS test, starting from the month of September 2014.  This step is considered a new initiative in Al Ain to provide both students at the university those from other institutions the convenience of applying for the IELTS test within the Al Ain university campus.

 The agreement was signed at the headquarters of Al Ain University in Al Ain in the presence of representatives from the British Council, UAE. Professor Dr. GhalebRifai, President of the Universitysigned on behalf of Al Ain University and Mr. Nick Godfrey, Regional Examinations Manager, Middle East South signed on behalf of the British Council.

 On this occasion Professor Dr. Ghalib Al-Rifai, President of the University said “Having Al Ain University as an accredited place to take the IELTS test highlights our ongoing efforts to improve the learning experience at the university and create an environment that meets the needs of our students. Our main goal remains the enhancement of the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of all students that enables them to achieve success and excellence in various fields. The English language has become a very important tool for success in the modern world.”

 Mr. Nick Godfrey praised the Al Ain University on the occasion and said, " Al Ain University is a leading educational institution in the UAE, serving students from Al Ain and from around the country. The reputation and mission of the Al Ain University is a perfect fit for British Council's global language proficiency test IELTS." He further added, "British Council's IELTS is the world's most popular English language proficiency test for higher education and global migration, with over two million tests taken in the last year alone, IELTS is now accepted by more than 9,000 organizations in 135 countries around the world, including educational institutions, employers, governments, immigration authorities and professional bodies.
