An Iftar Banquet for AAU Faculty and Staff

On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, Al Ain University in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain organized an ‘iftar’ banquet for the faculty and staff. The banquet was held in the presence of the AAU Chancellor, Dr. Noor Eldeen Atatreh; and the AAU President, Prof. Ghaleb El Refae; along with college deans, department heads, faculty, and staff.
Dr. Noor Eldeen Atatreh, AAU Chancellor, greeted the members of the AAU faculty and staff on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. He expressed that this ‘iftar’ comes in support of the spirit of fraternity and collaboration characterizing the holy month of Ramadan. It also reinforces bonding and communication among faculty and staff. He added that holding such events where AAU family comes together is in line with the AAU policy to promote cooperation and the one-team spirit through the commemoration traditions and customs.
Dr. Atatreh reiterated that the ‘iftar’ contributed to bringing AAU staff together in a friendly, comfortable atmosphere promoting social collaboration and enhancing the sense of belonging to the AAU community as well as reinforcing the values of compassion and solidarity. Organizing the Ramadan ‘iftar’ is merely a humble gesture in appreciation of the staff’s continued hard work and loyalty which constitute the cornerstone of success at any workplace.
At the end of the gathering, the faculty and staff expressed their appreciation to AAU administration wishing everyone a blessed Ramadan. The gathering included some games and contests that contributed to the festive atmosphere.
