AAU holds orientation week for the new academic staff


More than 30 new academic staff members joined the AAU family in the first semester of the 2018-2019 academic year and were welcomed in an orientation week organized by the AAU Human Resources Unit, to review the AAU vision, objectives, organizational structure, and its strategy in teaching. In addition to, the scientific research and community service, and the initiatives that will be presented by the university during the current academic year.

The beginning of the orientation week began with a meeting of the new academics with the Director of the Human Resources Unit, Mrs. Sidra Shaheen, who welcomed their joining with the Al Ain University. She said that AAU in general and the HR unit in particular, are fully prepared to provide all support to them at all levels. She also reviewed the laws, regulations, and services.

To enable a comprehensive overview of the University’s centers, units, and employees, the orientation week featured presentations by the major service units at the University, providing an overview of their role, the tasks carried out by the team and best ways to communicate with them when required.

The orientation week at Al Ain Campus, was concluded with the meeting  for the new faculty members with the AAU President, Prof. Ghaleb El Refae, who expressed the university's pride in joining the new academics, and, his full confidence on the faculty members' contribution  in enhancing the educational process and continuing the tender process initiated by the university since its establishment. He stressed the importance of the professional development of faculty members to achieve academic development as the basis of Al Ain University for Science and Technology's march towards excellence.
