College of Communication and Media at AAU Obtains AQAS Accreditation

The College of Communication and Media at Al Ain University obtained a new international accreditation AQAS (Agency for Quality Assurance by Accreditation of study programs), One of the largest institutions in the European Union. It’s the first college in a private university to receive the AQAS in the Arab world.
Dr. Noor El Deen Atatreh, AAU Chancellor, congratulated the Deanship of the College of Communication and Media, its faculty and administrative members and the students on the occasion of obtaining this accreditation, who have significant importance to the College in achieving the international accreditation standards which focus on the output quality of the programs in the College.
Prof. Ghaleb El Refae, AAU President, said that this international accreditation is a great merit that confirms Al Ain University's determination to achieve the highest quality standards in its academic programs and establishes its vision to graduate generations with the skills required to compete and lead in today's world.
"The achievement of AQAS will drive us towards academic and professional excellence, promote the students' talents and abilities to develop learning and innovation," said Dr. Abdulrahman Diab, Dean of the College of Communication and Media.
The Agency has awarded the academic accreditation for the Bachelor of Communication and Media to its three specializations; the Journalism, advertising and public relations for a period of six years.
It is worth mentioning that the accreditation of AQAS, is the first accreditation obtained by the College of Communication and Media at Al Ain University, which culminated in the efforts exerted by the Deanship of the College, which was keen on upgrading the scientific and research level of the University by attracting highly qualified faculty members, high quality of teaching material, and enriching the students both ideologically and skillfully. With the continued support of senior management of the University.
