Meeting new students is an opportunity to enhance communication

The Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Ain University organized an orientation meeting for the new students who joined Al Ain University by the beginning of the academic year 2022-2023 at both campuses, Al Ain and Abu Dhabi.

Prof. Ghaleb El Refae, AAU President, emphasized the academic advising role for new students. Also, he encouraged the students to reach out for the academic and administrative staff who are available to help, support, and provide all the services to create a positive university atmosphere.

The orientation meeting at Al Ain was attended by Prof. Ibtehal Aburezeq Vice President of Development and Follow Up and the Dean of Student Affairs, who encouraged students to participate in extracurricular activities during their academic journey to create a recreational atmosphere beside their studies, stressing that the Deanship of Student Affairs is fully prepared to meet all the students' mental, physical and emotional needs.

The meeting was also attended by the college Deans who introduced themselves to the students, stressing their keenness to help the students, solve their academic problems and provide them with advice and guidance.

At Abu Dhabi campus, Prof. Amer Qasem, AAU Vice President (Abu Dhabi Campus), said that the university embraces its students with all their creativity, energies, and talents. He added; "Al Ain University is proud to be one of the most prestigious educational institutions in the UAE that is always striving for global leadership in education”. He also wished all students a fruitful and successful school year.

For his part, Dr. Hani Al Jarrah, Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, talked about the Deanship of Student Affairs role, its objectives, and activities. He also addressed the university system, reviewing the rights of students and the most important university regulations.
