AAU Hosts AD Gaming SHIFT Game Jam in Collaboration with Endless Studios

The College of Engineering - AD Campus, in collaboration with Endless Studios and under the sponsorship of AD Gaming, successfully hosted an exciting Game Jam event as part of the AD Gaming SHIFT Game Jam initiative.
The event was supervised by Zaid Hadya - Lab Assistant, where it brought together CoE students to explore their creativity, strengthen their teamwork skills, and gain hands-on experience in game development. Students formed teams to design and develop game prototypes, guided by expert mentors and industry professionals who provided continuous support throughout the session.
To accommodate participants with varying levels of experience, students with prior game development knowledge used the Unity Engine to build their prototypes, while beginners were introduced to the Endstar Engine, a no-code platform designed to make game creation accessible to first-time developers. A live demo of the Endstar Engine was conducted to help students get started, and gaming laptops were provided to ensure all participants had the necessary tools to bring their ideas to life.
This Game Jam reflects AAU’s commitment to providing students with unique opportunities to connect with peers, future teammates, and industry experts in the dynamic gaming sector. Beyond fostering creativity and technical skills, the event also encouraged collaboration, problem-solving, and innovation, helping students prepare for future careers in the gaming and technology industries.
The competition concluded with the recognition of outstanding projects, as prizes were awarded to the three top-winning teams, celebrating their creativity, teamwork, and technical excellence.
