A Panel Discussion Highlights Youth as the Nation’s First Line of Defense

The Deanship of Student Affairs at Abu Dhabi Campus, in collaboration with the General Women’s Union and the Watani Fund, organized a panel discussion titled “Youth: The Nation’s Shield.” The session was delivered by life and family skills trainer Moza Al Qubaisi and moderated by Dr. Noha Hamada and Ms. Ahlam Al Lamki, as part of the Year of Family initiatives.
The session adopted an interactive discussion format, addressing the concept of “the nation’s shield” from a social perspective, and highlighting the role of youth in strengthening national responsibility through essential life skills. It also emphasized the role of the university environment and academic disciplines in shaping well-rounded personalities.
The discussion further explored the challenges posed by social media and digital openness on youth awareness, stressing the importance of reinforcing national identity and a sense of belonging. The session concluded with awareness messages encouraging students to actively contribute to protecting society.
The event witnessed strong student engagement through active participation and questions, enhancing their awareness of their role in serving their nation and community.
