Honoring Outstanding Students in Sports and Extracurricular Activities for the 2025-2026 Academic Year

The Deanship of Student Affairs – Abu Dhabi Campus organized a ceremony to honor student achievements for the 2025-2026 academic year. The ceremony recognized students who excelled in sports, volunteer work, and extracurricular activities. Attendees included Prof.Amer Qassem, Vice President of the University; Dr. Noha Hamada, Vice Dean of Student Affairs; deans and vice deans of colleges; and directors of academic programs.
The ceremony also honored members of the sports teams for their outstanding achievements in the second edition of the University Games. The football team secured first place in the Western Region and fourth place nationally, while the basketball team achieved second place in the Western Region and third place nationally. This achievement reflects the competitive spirit, commitment, and excellence of the university's students.
The university also honored students on the Deanship of Student Affairs list in recognition of their active contributions and outstanding participation throughout the academic year. These students contributed to the implementation of volunteer initiatives and programs, represented the university at numerous local and international events, and made significant contributions to extracurricular activities that enhanced the university's presence and solidified its positive image in the community.
During the ceremony, Professor Dr. Amer Qassem, Vice President of the University, expressed his pride in the students' remarkable achievements in sports and extracurricular activities. He noted that these successes embody the university's vision of developing graduates with strong leadership and interpersonal skills, in addition to academic excellence. He also emphasized the importance of collaboration between the academic colleges and the Deanship of Student Affairs in supporting students and empowering them to develop their abilities and actively participate in various activities and programs.
For her part, Dr. Noha Hamada, Vice Dean of Student Affairs, affirmed the Deanship's commitment to discovering and nurturing student talents, and providing the appropriate environment and opportunities that help them transform their abilities into tangible achievements that contribute to building their character and enhancing their readiness for professional and social life. She noted the continued support for initiatives and programs that encourage excellence and creativity in various fields.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the university reaffirmed its commitment to continuing to support outstanding students and provide a stimulating learning environment that enables them to achieve further successes and accomplishments at both the local and international levels.
