In collaboration with Cloud Hub, the College of Engineering organized a specialized workshop titled “Preparing for a Hackathon” for Al Ain University students at its Abu Dhabi campus. Supervised and organized by Engineer Ziad Hadi, the workshop aimed to equip students and aspiring developers with the knowledge and practical skills necessary for active participation in hackathons and technology innovation competitions.

The workshop introduced participants to the concept and structure of hackathons, highlighting the importance of creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills in competitive development environments. Participants also received practical guidance on building effective teams, selecting impactful and innovative project ideas, and managing time efficiently throughout hackathon events.

In addition, the workshop focused on strengthening students’ technical and communication skills while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration among participants, helping prepare them for future technology initiatives and entrepreneurial opportunities.

The organization of this workshop reflects the ongoing commitment to supporting student innovation and empowering students to actively engage in technology driven initiatives and entrepreneurial opportunities across the United Arab Emirates.

It is worth mentioning that a hackathon is an event that brings together programmers, developers, and creative minds to work collaboratively in teams within a limited timeframe, with the aim of developing innovative technological solutions or creative projects that address real-world challenges, in a competitive environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and rapid problem-solving.
