A lecture on drugs in Al Ain University

The Deanship of Students Affairs at Al Ain University, based in Al Ain city, in cooperation with the College of Law, has organized an awareness lecture entitled "The Dangers of Drugs", which was presented by Professor Salem Rahun Al Alawi from the Drug Enforcement Department. He introduced the lecture by talking about the concept of a substance, whether natural or synthetic, or manufacturing and the dangers of drugs. He emphasized on a portable trunk containing some types of drug availability, its damages and negative effects on an individual, the family, the community and the properties and attributes of an addictive personality and how to detect methods in dealing with them.
He also focused on the importance of parental control records which play an important role in the prevention of drugs from a young age, which usually begins from bad guys and luring young people through smoking and substance abuse as taking in ‘alsaweka’ which is the main substance that gets many adequately involved.
At the end of the lecture students asked questions about drugs, leaflets and bulletins were distributed at the end of the workshop, which was attended by members of the academic and administrative bodies and university students of all faculties.
