Al Ain University Celebrates ‘World Teachers Day’

Al Ain University Celebrates ‘World Teachers Day’The Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Ain University organized a ‘World Teachers Day’ Event, which marks every 5th October of every year. The event was arranged with the Professional Diploma in Teaching Department in the College of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, which included a visit to some schools to congratulate teachers who have obtained creative Teachers Award from the Niemeh Primary State School.

The visitors from AAU were Dr Ibtehal Aburezeq,  Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Mahmoud Askari, Deputy Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Eman Zeitouneh from the Professional Diploma in Teaching Department in the College of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, in addition to a group of students from the department.

The delegation honored the teachers who received awards from Sheikh Khalifa in Education Award for Distinguished Teachers, Sheikh Hamdan for Distinguished Teachers and Sheikha Shamsa Bint Suhail for Creative Women in the Field of Education, where each teacher spoke about her career and experiences to obtain the awards.

Dr. Aburezeq spoke about the importance of the teacher and the responsibilities it opens with new horizons for the students and illuminates them towards the truth, so that their professional knowledge and skills are among the most important factors that guarantee the quality of education. The Dean offered to the teachers initial training to enhance their professional development and to get the necessary support on an ongoing basis.
