AAU students get the third best pharmacy student thematic poster award

 H.E. Humaid Mohamed Al Qutami -Chairman and Director General of the Dubai Health Authority- visited the booth of Al Ain University in the 21st Dubai International Pharmaceuticals & Technologies Conference & Exhibition "DUPHAT 2016", which was held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance, UAE and President of Dubai Health Authority, at Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre.

 H.E. Humaid Al Qutami checked out the latest developments which were carried out by Al Ain University, such as the new programs and accreditations obtained by the university faculties, especially the College of Pharmacy, which got the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).

He praised the rapid evolution of the Al Ain University programs and the quality of education, and he also commended on the College of Pharmacy  which has become one of the most important pharmacy colleges in the state and the region.

AAU's participation in this exhibition comes in recognition of the university believing that it brings the largest companies and foundations operating in the field of pharmacy and pharmacy colleges from different universities under one roof. The AAU College of Pharmacy’s participation included studies, medical researches, scientific posters and pictures, as the College of Pharmacy at Al Ain University is the only college on the level of the United Arab Emirates that has obtained the international accreditation of the ACPE. 

 

Following to their participation in DUPHAT, a group of students from the College of Pharmacy at the University took the third best pharmacy student thematic poster award, and the fifth best pharmacy student quality poster award.

On this occasion Dr. Noor Atatreh –AAU Chancellor- commented that the university's participation in the exhibition is mainly to focus on the importance of employing scholars in scientific conferences and exhibitions that introduce them to the latest developments, research and innovative subjects. He added that AAU has always been participating in the Duphat exhibitions to push the students to pass along with medical institutions, to disclose their qualifications and to access to the latest developments and experiences surrounding them in order to pursue with the recent developments in the field of pharmacy.

For his part, Dr. Khairi Mustafa, Dean of the College of Pharmacy at Al Ain University, said “The university is climbing the steps towards modern scientific developments to keep in pace with modern teachings.Our participation within this framework offers opportunities for pupils to take part in specialized scientific conferences and hold direct contacts with the labor market related to scientific competence as pharmaceutical factories and data societies. Not to cite, the various colleges of pharmacy participating in the show from inside and outside the UAE".
