Officially .. the name of Al Ain University of Science and Technology changes to “Al Ain University”

After the approvals of the university Board of Trustees, Al Ain University of Science and Technology has announced the change of its current name to be “Al Ain University”.

HE. Abdullah Bakheet Al Murar, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, commented: “This initiative will enhance the established principles and strong foundations of AAU. Additionally, it will contribute to the advancement and prosperity of AAU journey and lead AAU to a bright future inshallah.

Dr. Noor El Deen Atatreh, AAU Chancellor, said; “since its inception, Al Ain University has witnessed remarkable achievements, and this step comes within the framework of the development process to all sectors of the university. Atatreh also praised the positive role of all the university staff, including academics and administrators, and their efforts to develop the university and its strategic plans. In addition to highlight its social role.

Prof. Ghaleb El Refae, AAU President, said that; “Changing the name of Al Ain University of Science and Technology to be al Ain University came from the AAU’s keen to keep pace with the society changes, and this initiative considered as a beginning of a new development phase in knowledge, research, scientific, academic and community, in order to graduate an exceptional generation capable to face the future challenges and keep pace with all developments.

Changing the name of Al Ain University coincides with its preparations for the new academic year 2019-2020, will start with the launching of the new building expansion in Al Ain City, which will include the College of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, the College of Business, and the College of Communication and Media.

It is worth to mention that, Al Ain University is offering 16 undergraduate programs across, 8 Graduate programs, and one professional diploma in teaching through six colleges; Engineering, Pharmacy, Law, Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Business and Communication and Media, where AAU is keen to expand its programs and specializations in the future, in line with the rapid development in the labor market locally and globally.
