More than 150 researchers hosted by AAU at the ACIT Conference 2022

Al Ain University (AAU) has launched the 23rd International Arab Conference of Information Technology (ACIT 2022), under the patronage of His Excellency Omar bin Sultan Al Olama - Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence in the UAE, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, and in partnership with the Computer Society of the Association of Arab Universities and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers - UAE Branch, in Abu Dhabi Campus.
The conference was attended by His Excellency Prof. Amro Ezzat Salama- General Executive of the Association of Arab Universities, Prof. Mohamed Hassan- General Executive of the Association of Colleges of Computers and Information affiliated to the Association of Arab Universities, Dr. Noor El Deen Atatreh- Board of Trustees Member (AAU), Prof. Ghaleb Al-Refae- AAU President, and the honorary president of the conference. And guests from the Commission for Academic Accreditation, the Department of Education and Knowledge, deans of colleges and number of the academic and administrative staff.
More than 150 researchers and academics from 20 Arab and foreign countries participated in the conference, and more than 120 research papers have been reviewed through a series of workshops, along with various lectures presented by a group of invited speakers and researchers.
The conference included several topics discussions, most notably: artificial intelligence and expert systems, data science and the Internet of things, data and information security, machine learning and decision support systems, digital communications, vital information, e-commerce and e-marketing, information technology and digital media, information technology in law and criminal analysis, information technology in education, e-learning and other topics.
The conference was accompanied by an exhibition, which presented the latest technological devices and developments in the field of artificial intelligence and electronics.
Prof. Ghaleb Al-Refae stated that AAU is constantly seeking to support the activities of the Association of Arab Universities, hence, hosting the ACIT Conference 2022 is one of the most important conferences of the Association. He emphasized that AAU focuses on the practical side through; knowledge integration between the fields of information technology, economics, business, law and media.
Al-Refae indicated that AAU attaches great importance to scientific research by urging faculty members to publish qualitative scientific publications in prestigious scientific fields, in addition to establishing a number of research centers, including the Center for Artificial Intelligence and the Center for Health and Biomedicine Research. The university also provides permanent support to its faculty members to participate in local, regional and international scientific conferences.
Prof. Amro Salama thanked His Excellency Omar bin Sultan Al Olama for his sponsorship of the ACIT 2022 and to AAU for hosting the conference for the second time. Pointing out the importance of this conference, which discusses various topics in information technology as the basis for the progress of societies.
It is worth to mention that, the ACIT 2022 is an essential part of continuing the educational and research process, as the conference provides an opportunity for researchers, engineers and whoever is interested to participate in their research related to technical sciences and information technology, and to contribute by presenting proposals and innovative solutions to serve the community and meet its needs.
