“Our Flag, Our Pride” celebrates unity and inclusion

Professor Ghaleb El Refaei, the University President, welcomed the members of the “Our Flag, Our Pride” initiative in an atmosphere filled with pride and national belonging.
The flag was handed over to him by Mr. Mohammed Khamis Al Kaabi, Dean of Volunteers in Al Ain City, Mr. Saleh Khater, and Ms. Ghawia Al Badi, known as the “Mother of the Emirates Cancer Society.” The gesture reflected deep meanings of unity and appreciation for national symbols.
During the event, students of determination (deaf students) performed the pledge to preserve the flag in sign language, creating a touching scene that embodied the spirit of unity and social cohesion.
The event also saw the participation of faculty members and students from the Colleges of Education and Communication & Media, emphasizing the importance of community partnership, strengthening national identity, enhancing loyalty and belonging, and empowering people of determination to actively participate in national occasions that reflect the values of unity and true citizenship.
