Dental Laboratory and Clinical Instructor

Location: Abu Dhabi

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Description:

In the Lab:

  • Teach and supervise students in preclinical dental laboratory courses.
  • Demonstrate laboratory procedures, including model work, dental anatomy, impressions, waxing, casting, acrylic processing, and digital workflows.
  • Ensure students understand and apply safety protocols and infection-control procedures.
  • Prepare, maintain, and organize laboratory materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Assess student performance through practical exams, assignments, and skill evaluations.
  • Collaborate with faculty to improve laboratory teaching methods and course materials.
  • Assist in planning equipment needs and procurement for the dental laboratory.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to students during laboratory sessions.

In the Clinic:

  • Supervise students in clinical settings, ensuring safe and competent patient care.
  • Demonstrate clinical procedures and guide students through diagnostic and therapeutic steps.
  • Evaluate students’ clinical competencies and provide constructive feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical safety, infection control, and professional ethics.
  • Oversee patient flow, case documentation, and treatment planning.
  • Participate in calibration sessions to maintain consistency among clinical faculty.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and improvement of clinical teaching protocols.
  • Assist in organizing clinical rotations, schedules, and patient assignments.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry (BDS/DDS) from an accredited institution.
  • Valid professional license to practice dentistry.
  • (Preferred) At least 1–2 years of clinical experience.
  • Experience in general dentistry procedures including restorative, periodontics, endodontics, and oral diagnosis.
  • (Advantage) Experience in teaching, tutoring, or clinical supervision.
