The Al Ain University Center for Water, Energy, and Sustainability (AAU C-WES) is a multidisciplinary hub dedicated to advancing research, innovation, and education in sustainable water and energy systems. Situated in the United Arab Emirates, a region at the forefront of sustainable development. The center addresses critical global challenges related to water, energy and sustainability through cutting-edge research, collaborative partnerships, and knowledge transfer. AAU C-WES brings together experts, students, government entities, and industry to develop practical, evidence-based solutions that support sustainable resource management, climate resilience, and the transition to clean and renewable energy systems. Through research, policy engagement, and community outreach, the Center strives to contribute to the UAE’s leadership in sustainable development and meaningfully to the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
